Fabio, the plumber:
How I contribute to FELIX convivium with heart and hand: In this old house, everything is ‘turned upside down’ and yet it retains the charm of history. We take care of the technology and ensure that ‘everything is at the right temperature, in the right place, at the right time’. So that guests can fully concentrate on their holiday...
Ute, the initiator and host of FELIX convivium:
Why we can't get FELIX convivium out of our minds: For Micha and me, FELIX convivium is THE project of the heart that combines everything: our love for the region, our joy for designing and implementing and our passion for being good hosts. So FELIX convivium is really taking over our minds in the best sense of the word. ‘You have to be a little crazy,’ as some of our friends tend to say. They're right, to an extent...

Emiliano, the boss of the construction company
Why I love the bricks at FELIX convivium so much: I love bricks, especially old, handmade bricks. I basically love old, historical building materials and their combination with modern technology. I am happy here for that reason alone. My wife and children, horse, pig and dog have to wait. I make sure that these old stones are shown to their best advantage, that guests enjoy this historical site and that they never get tired of the ‘aaahs and ooohs’...
Francesco, the owner and barista of the nova Bar:
Why I am happy about FELIX convivium: FELIX convivium brings more life to the village and I will try to find out what the new guests need and satisfy their requests. Everyone should feel at home here in the nova bar and, if they want, can also get in touch with the locals. I make sure that there is at least one place in Barchi where people like to meet, talk, drink and eat. And the great thing is: this is exactly where you can also meet the people who built and developed FELIX convivium together...

Claudia, the interior designer:
What fascinates me about FELIX convivium is that it is a beautiful and magical place that transports you to another world and makes you forget the time. This is made possible by the combination of the fascinating brick walls from the 16th and 17th centuries, antique individual pieces, modern elements and colour accents...
Michael »Michele«, the initiator and host of FELIX convivium:
What FELIX convivium means to me: Every stone in this old townhouse breathes history. Our aim is to preserve this and take it to a new level for our guests. When Ute and I fell in love with the Marche region 25 years ago, none of us could have imagined that we would one day tackle such a large project here. An initial dream became an idea and now reality...

Mirco, the drywaller:
Why I feel so connected to FELIX convivium: I live and work in Barchi, so it's clear to me that I have to deliver a good job here, since I will regularly meet the guests of FELIX convivium after work in the nova Bar. I want to be able to look everyone in the eye when Francesco, the barista, tells people that I am responsible for the drywall construction. That makes me and my son Michele proud. I think it's amazing how Ute and Michele are putting so much energy into realising their ideas for FELIX Convivium here, and I'm looking forward to new life in the village. I wish them both much success in getting their ideas accepted. In any case, we ‘artigiani’ have done our best to make that happen...
Giacopo, Geremia, Daniele, the masons:
Why we appreciate the construction of FELIX convivium so much: It's such a big project with an endless amount of work to be done on the old walls! But we are happy to help bring this old house back to life. And we are thinking along and letting our creativity flow. We are fully committed because we think it's great that Ute and Michele are so actively involved in making our area more attractive...

Mary, the neighbour:
Why FELIX convivium is like a rebirth: FELIX convivium breathes new life into our village centre, the castle. It seems like a rebirth and we neighbours are looking forward to the hustle and bustle in the neighbourhood. Above all, I am looking forward to the contact with nice guests, with whom I will gladly have a chat...
Valerio & Luciano, brothers, the restaurant owners of »il castagno«:
Why we are so pleased about FELIX convivium: As passionate restaurateurs, we have been observing the project with joy and interest. Making people happy with stylish ambience and culinary delights is also close to our hearts! We have known Ute and Michele for over 25 years and share their love for historic houses: their guests are always warmly welcome at our restaurant...

Giacomo, the pearl in the restaurant »il castagno«:
My assessment of FELIX convivium for the region: Ute and Michele have been welcome guests here for years and are lovable hosts in Barchi itself. Although there are many holiday accommodations in this region, FELIX convivium is something very special, which will make Barchi and us known beyond its borders...
Dino, the gardener and jack-of-all-trades:
My view on FELIX convivium as an innovation: I have been friends with Ute and Michael for 15 years and I am always happy to help when they need me. Their first house, ‘Villa Tartaruga’, is already a cosy place on earth. FELIX convivium will be completely different, but it will certainly be a real oasis of well-being.…

Anna, the friend of the family:
How Ute and Michele are going the extra mile for FELIX convivium: Ute and Michele have a knack for home and garden, as can be seen from their first holiday home, Villa Tartaruga. Guests say that you can tell that they both live there and enjoy going the extra mile for their guests!
Matteo, the electrician:
Why I give my best for FELIX convivium: FELIX convivium is an old building. It is a challenge to install modern and sophisticated electrics and photovoltaics here. I give my best. See for yourself if I have succeeded...

Ilona, the friend of the family:
How Ute and Michele are always working on the quality for FELIX convivium: As a kindergarten teacher, I work in Orciano and have known Ute and Michele for 15 years. We have become friends. We always have a lot to talk about and the two of them are never satisfied with the quality. It never gets boring. I am curious to see what the guests will say about what has been done.
Simone, building materials dealer:
Why it is important to maintain the fabric of FELIX ccnvivium: As the leading building materials retailer in the region, I am very attached to the region and its craftsmen. It is important that our beautiful buildings are preserved. I was closely involved in the design and planning of the bathrooms and floors. It is a great, appreciative collaboration with Ute and Michele. I wish them continued success...

Alberto, the installer:
Why I am the wild card in the FELIX convivium team: I am the wild card in the team because I am proficient in all three areas: installation, electrics and photovoltaics. I am looking forward to this special result of all our joint work...
Raimondo, the carpenter:
I am excited to see how my work for FELIX convivium will be received: I love working with old wood. Ute supported me with the 17th-century entrance portal and she also loves working with wood and can spend hours sanding. All the windows, doors and beams in FELIX convivium are mine. Sometimes we cut open and reworked 300-year-old oak beams. I'm curious to see how it will be received...

Bruno, the retired master butcher:
How I see FELIX convivium for the neighbourhood: I live here in Barchi, I'm a retiree, and I used to have a high-quality butcher shop here. The FELIX convivium guests would certainly have enjoyed my specialities. Ute and Michele's new project is a great enrichment for our village and the region, especially if this house in a prominent location in the centro storico is beautifully restored and hopefully not only comes to life itself, but also the neighbourhood as a result...
Frank, the communication designer:
Why I am happy to be able to accompany FELIX convivium in a communicative way: ‘Leaving’ this special place and yet leading it to a new destiny is a great journey that you have embarked on. As a communication designer from the agency NetGroup, I am happy to accompany you on your way - from the graphic concept to the logo to the website... here's to a happy encounter!

Michele, the drywaller, Mirco’s son:
What makes the result unique in the case of FELIX convivium: Working with Ute and her husband Michele is a challenge, as they are always tweaking the last detail. But my Babbo Mirco and I grow on challenges. In any case, I give it my all. The result is already unique...
Piccolo Claudio, the seller/owner of Centro del Mobile:
Why I am looking forward to the guests of FELIX convivium: We are a small village community here, where everyone knows and greets each other and addresses each other by their first names. The area here is not yet overrun by tourists and guests are welcomed in a friendly way. Felix convivium will breathe new life into the village and bring people here, which will revitalise the old town. I am looking forward to new contacts and interesting conversations...

Simona, the co-thinker:
Why I see FELIX convivium as something very special: As an interpreter and expert in the tourism sector, I am familiar with many high-quality properties in the Marche region and throughout Italy. However, FELIX convivium stands out from the rest of these travel destinations: it is the individuality of this place. Preserving the ‘soul’ of this historic building is the mission for all of us...
